OUR COACHES
Head Coach - Mel Harrow (White)
Mel grew up playing hockey locally in the greater Seattle area before competing in college at Buffalo State. She brings 20+ years of playing experience and 10 years of coaching. Mel has coached everything from Learn to Play to College Club.
Mel brings an emphasis on skating and athletic development. She believes in the importance of developing positive team culture to instill growth both on and off the ice. Mel works as an Associate Athletic Director at the Bush School.
Coach - Lisa Zeppieri
Lisa grew up playing competitive hockey outside of Toronto, ON. She spent six years working for UltraSkills and the Ottawa Senators hockey camps. Her work ranged from on and off ice coaching, to scheduling, to organizing camp operations.
Lisa brings designs off-ice programming for the UW team and focuses on developing the offensive play for the Huskies. She works as a speech and language pathologist at the UW Medical Center.
Coach - Matt Cleeton
Matt is head coach of the UW Men's Club team. Matt played collegiate hockey for the University of Illinois and brings 12 years of coaching experience. Matt has coached U12, goalies, and the University of Illinois Women's Club team.
Coach - Michaela Flaherty
Michaela competed in New England and played club hockey for the University of Pennsylvania. She boasts 20+ years of playing experience and 5 years of experience coaching girls and women.
Before making her way to Seattle, Michaela coached in San Jose and coached Women's 1 Bundesliga in Berlin, DE. She brings her defensive expertise and attention to technical play to the coaching staff.
